Knižní Stolec - only on weekends and holidays
The mountain top of Knížecí stolec (1,236 m) with its viewing tower is located inside the military zone of Boletice - an area which gradually becomes open up to the public after 70 years. Hikers can access the peak only on weekends and public holidays. The top parts of mountain are covered by rock formations; except the meadow on the south side of the peak, Knížecí stolec is an entirely wooded area. From a conservationist’s viewpoint, the entire military zone is of international importance; the local natural world is fascinating and protected, including measures as part of Natura 2000 Network.
